Imagine a piece of velvet on a table. When you pass your hand over this shimmering and delicate surface, you will notice how soft, regular, and voluptuous it is to the touch. Today you will find this sensation with the silk chenille thread to embroider.

 

The chenille satin is a chenille with a velvet looking. Thinner than the classic one, the colors seem variegated as they change with the light.

 

This chenille has a specific side to be used: they seem made of scales so you have to use it in their natural direction. Whether you try the opposite direction, the chenille will unravel. It is not supposed to be worked on a tight fabric or if wanted, make previous holes with a big needle or a bodkin.
